About Us
Hi, I’m Mark Darius. Here is a little bit of my history. I don’t want to bore you with too many details so here are the basics.
Fixing and Engineering is in my blood. My Grandfather opened a small machine shop in his barn servicing all the farm engines
in the area way back in the 1930s. My parents had their own machine shop in the 1960s and then I started working on engines in
our shop when I was 8 years old. I was born and bred to make engines pump horseys.
I will tell you that I had a different view on what engines I should be working on. As far back as the 1980s I had the gut
instinct that the import engines were the way to go. They are more reliable, go higher revs and the cars really can handle ten
times better then those old dinosaurs from the 60’s. Not to take away from the old road rockets like the Dodge Hemi or the
Mustang, but I would prefer to be screaming down the road in my Eclipse with 750 horse power any day. So here are the boring
details that all the corporations want to know about my company.
Executive Summarization
The business was incorporated in 1991 under DiRossi, Engine Co. Inc., with a T.N. of Automotive Engineering. Several pieces of
Engine Remanufacturing Equipment were purchased during the 1991-year, along with leasing a building for our expanding Engine Business.
In 1993 a local machine shop was bought out and moved into our building. By 1994 a larger facility was needed due to increasing Engine
Sales. On January 1, 1997 the first equipment was installed and running in our new 13500 Square foot Facility. Domestic, Foreign, and
Diesel along with Marine products are engines that we produce. Engine sales are made throughout the U.S. and Canada by over the counter sales.
Today we are known for our high quality import engines, sport compact engine development program and problem solving with engine blocks
and heads.
Here’s some examples of the problems we have resolved over the past decade.
- 2.0L Mitsubishi crank walk – SOLVED
- 3.0L Toyota head gasket problems – SOLVED
- 3.2 & 3.5L Isuzu crank shaft rod failure - SOLVED
